Year 5 and 6 Pond Studies
It was the turn of Y5 & 6 to have a half day each with Mrs Lavelle yesterday. A report from India Finch and Mia Johns ‘  “First we went out and we had to choose tubs of water and then Mrs Lavelle gave us a piece of paper with all the insects we should find in the pond.  She took a group at a time to go pond dipping and then we emptied out what we had in the nets into our tubs and tried to identify them. We had to make a tally of all the insects we collected the ones we found most of were ‘Water Louse’ and ‘Pond Snails’.  Then Mrs Lavelle showed us some insects on her hand and told us about them.”

Well done to our football team on a fantastic match on Tuesday evening against Old Heath. We won 7-0. Many thanks to Mr Farah (Youhanna’s dad) for refereeing the game for us.
A report from Jamie, Ewan and Martin
