Football Success
A report by Kieran Runicles:
“Our first match was against St Teresa’s, we were 1-0 down.  Then we scored 2 goals in the second half near the end and we won 2-1.  Alexis scored the first goal for STM, then Kieran shot at the keeper and the keeper saved it.  Then martin whacked it in the corner of the goal and scored.  Then we had to wait, it was really exciting when we found out we would be in the final!  We played against Mr Neil’s team winning 1-0!”

Cross Country
Well done to Year 3 & 4 pupils on a brilliant run yesterday.  They all did exceptionally well!  Year 4 came 3rd overall which is fabulous. Mia Patterson came in first for the Y4 girls and gained a well deserved medal.

Well done to: Katy Ayscough Youngs, Madeleine Claydon, Emma Guild, Eusebius Igboji, Alfie Kelway, Mia Jerrom, Luke Ledwidge, William Mabon, Hannah McKay, John Magill, Connor Maude, Mia Patterson, Freya Richardson, Jacob Saunders, Tia Smith and Jessica Stebbing.  Special thanks to Ernald for stepping in to help at short notice when one of the year 4 boys couldn’t make it.

Harvest Festival
Thank you for your kindness in sending in items for the local ‘soup-run’.  It is never too late so please keep the drinks and soups that can be made with a kettle (not microwave) coming in! Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and cuppasoups are great.  Biscuits are also greatly appreciated to go with the drinks! Thank you again for your continued generosity.

Fr Tony
A big thanks to Fr Tony for coming in yesterday to sign the Secondary Priest Reference Forms for his Parishioners here at the school.

Nits

It is absolutely essential that all children are checked for nits on a regular basis as this is the only way to limit the spread. Please check through your child’s hair this weekend as cases are spreading rapidly in the school. It is good policy to check weekly as they can easily go unnoticed! You need to look even if your child is not scratching etc. Just comb their hair with a nit comb over a piece of plain paper...if there are nits they will appear on the paper. It would help if all children with hair long enough to be tied back could keep it that way for the next few weeks at least. Worst affected class appears to be Y5. Thank you ( I bet some of you are scratching already just at the thought).
