Dear Parent
It is like summer all over again! Just as we begin to get our winter woollies out- the sun comes out warmer than ever. Have a great weekend and make the most of the fine weather!

Garrison Priest
We had an unexpected yet very welcome visit from Fr Sean from the Garrison on Wednesday. The children were quite excited (and a little confused at the concept) to meet a Priest dressed in army uniform.

Your Prayers Please
Please say a prayer for Bradley Davies Year 6 who is in hospital for an operation this afternoon.  We wish him a speedy recovery.
Please also remember Mrs Hunter’s mother who is recovering from an operation.

Outdoor Learning
Mrs Lavelle is very kindly giving us a day a week to work with the classes on outdoor education. So far Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 4 have spent half a day each on the topic of ‘trees’. A big thank you to Mrs Lavelle as the children are enjoying it and getting so much out of it.

Harvest Festival
It is that time of year again when we prepare for our harvest festival. Once again we will be collecting items for the local ‘soup-run’. Could you please help once again by providing drinks and soups that can be made with a kettle (not microwave).
Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and cuppasoups are great.  Biscuits are also greatly appreciated to go with the drinks!
Thank you for your continued generosity.

Christmas Cards
Your child’s artwork will come home on Monday with an order form if you would like it made into a Christmas Card.

School Uniform
We are still finding lots of clothing around the school and grounds without a name on. Please have a check through at the weekend to make sure names are still legible on labels it would be a great help. Thank you.

Year 1 & 2 Cross Country

Well done to everyone for running so well especially in the heat!

Grace came first out of all the schools for the girls and Christopher for the boys.

Cross Country
Year 3 & 4 pupils run next Thursday for the school. Good luck to them all.

Lining Up
Just a little reminder that as Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 line up in the playground in the morning the staff need to concentrate on getting them in to class in an orderly manner. It is quite disruptive to the children if parents keep the teachers back at this time of day. If you have an urgent message this can be left at the front desk or over the phone. If it is not urgent please pop a note in the bookbag. Teachers are all available at the end of each school day in the playground for you to speak to. Thank you for your support with this.

Priest Reference Forms
Fr Tony will be here on 6 October at 3.15 to sign forms for Year 6 Secondary Application.  This is only for pupils attending our school.

Nits
Please check through your child’s hair at the weekend as there have been a few cases in the school. It is good policy to check weekly as they can easily go unnoticed!

Tummy Bug
We have a stomach bug doing the rounds at the moment. Please keep your child off school for at least 24 hours but ideally 48 hours after the last sickness. Hopefully this will reduce the spread.

School Photos
School photos were sent home yesterday.  Please return them to the office by Friday 7 October.  Cheques should be made payable to ‘A’ Grade Photographic.  Many thanks

Parents’ Evening
Slips went home on Wednesday!

Music lessons
Please could any outstanding monies be sent to the office on Monday.  Thank you.
