Dear Parent

Hopefully the sun will continue to shine all day today for our annual sponsored walk. The bunting is up and the children look ready to go! Thank you for your support for this ever-popular event it is much appreciated.

Year 6 SATs
Well done to our Y6 pupils on all their hard work during the SATs. They certainly tried their best which is all we expect of them. We can forget about them for a couple of months now...the SATs not the children!!

St Benedict’s Leavers’ Mass
Mrs Hayes and I had the pleasure of attending the Leavers’ Mass at St. Ben’s last night and took great delight in seeing many of our former pupils looking all grown up in their prom clothes. They looked wonderful!

Enterprise Week
Mr Peck has organised an exciting week for us beginning on Monday. The children will be asked to design board games and the winning design from each class will be taken to the Dragons’ Den on Friday afternoon. Hopefully there will be 3 guest dragons joining us. Mr Deasy from St. Ben’s will speak to all the children about the challenge on Monday morning.
The teachers would like children in Yrs 3-6 to bring in board games from home on Monday to help with this, many thanks.

Retreat Day
Des Kelly, former Deputy at St John Payne School, will be at the school on Wednesday to run a retreat day for our Y6 pupils with the focus on the transition to secondary school.
