Dear Parent
It was nice to catch up with so many of you at parents’ evenings this week. I hope you found the meetings useful and were pleased with how hard your child has been working.
More Baby News Congratulations to Mrs Banthorpe who is expecting a baby in September! Our very best wishes go to Steve and Natalie as they plan for the new arrival. That is 3 babies due on staff now! I just need Mrs Hayes to become pregnant and that will be the entire senior management team off at the same time!
Year 6 SATs Please remember the Y6 children in your prayers over the next week as they sit their end of Y6 national SATs tests.
It is really important that the children attend every day as tests cannot be taken on a different day as we have to adhere to a national timetable! This time next week they will all be over.
KS2 Electrical Safety Talk A lady from UK Power Networks came in yesterday to talk to the KS2 pupils about using electricity safely. It was an interactive session which the children seemed to learn a lot from. Thank you to Miss Browse for organising it.
Royal Wedding Street Party Thank you to Jayne and Tina for providing the food for the children last week and to Mr Gillespie for setting out the tables. Sponsored Walk It’s amazing how quickly this popular annual event comes round! Once again the children will be walking the course on the school grounds to see how many laps they can do. You are very welcome to come along at 1.30 and support your child. The PTA will be selling teas, coffees etc. The children can come to school in jeans and a t-shirt in their house colour, KS1 can choose between Yellow, Red, Green or Blue.
